Build bridges, not walls
I believe that growth begins with staying true to what is truly right.

You don't have to be perfect to make an impact — you just have to be real.
“I am a father of five, born between art and music, shaped in the boxing ring — and refined in business. As a consultant and creative strategist, I help people, brands, and organizations return to the core: what truly resonates? My strength lies in combining creative vision, raw experience, and practical strategy. I do not believe in quick wins — but I do believe in genuine connection, powerful choices, and radical clarity.”
ABOUT ME
I believe that growth begins with staying true to what is truly right.
My name is Leroy Woudstra, 41 years old, father of five beautiful children (4 daughters and a son), and living in lovely Deventer with my fantastic wife. However, my journey began in Enschede. Born and raised with a mother who made art and a father who made music. So, there is absolutely no shortage of creativity.
I drew with my mother and made music with my father. A creative urge is simply in my DNA. A certain 'hunger' emerged, as well as a search for what my place in the world might be. That is also how I got into martial arts. I wanted to do something with the energy I had and decided to seek it in martial arts. I first looked into judo when I was young. I didn't like it at all. Breaking falls and throws were too soft. I used to look up to athlete Bas Rutten.
A top Dutch athlete who practiced free fighting. His explosiveness in the ring and his charismatic demeanor showed me that you could be both a 'killer' and friendly and approachable. After more than 20 years in kickboxing, I have met many special people. From martial arts legends like Peter Aerts and Bas Rutten to current champions like Rico Verhoeven. It became a large part of my life, and this list is long.
Martial arts gave way to fitness, and in it I found a place that was just for me. A place where I could be alone with all my thoughts and ideas. This also became my place to work on personal growth and development. That is why I do not call myself a standard business consultant, and that is just as well. In 2007, I started an online entertainment platform about games, music, and lifestyle. No business plan, but tons of energy and drive. For four years, I built content, community, and creativity. I got the chance to work with the largest publishers in the online entertainment market.
In addition, I managed to put together a great editorial team and was even able to set up a small editorial office in Shenzhen (China). In the same year, I also picked up the camera and started with video productions: from weddings and music videos to documentaries.
Creativity became my compass. I thought I could do it, borrowed a camera, and got to work. I proved to myself that if you want something, it is indeed possible. In 2013, I built the largest Dutch-Indonesian online community with a global reach of two million per week. No hype. No tricks. Just real connection.
In 2017, I handed over the platform and embarked on my next journey. Because this platform was a medium for connecting people, I discovered a value within it that became clear to me. After all, together you can achieve a whole lot more. Do you have any questions for me? Feel free to ask!

My approach
From the ring to the boardroom.
My work is not standard consultancy. It is a deep dive into who you are, where you stand, and where friction is allowed. With a creative mindset, the power of focus, and a healthy dose of streetwise experience, I guide leaders, makers, and brands toward greater clarity and impact.
My 3-step approach
1. Story as Foundation
I start by listening. Not to your story as you always tell it, but to the undercurrent. What does the behavior say? The choices? The silences? That is where real strategy begins.
2. Creativity as a Weapon
Whether you are stuck in your business, branding, or leadership — I look at things through a creative lens and with a sharp pen. My background in media, community building, and content provides a fresh perspective and new directions.
3. Connection as a Compass
Whether it concerns your team, your target audience, or yourself: everything hinges on connection. My work revolves around restoring, strengthening, or recalibrating that connection. So that growth follows naturally.
Why this works
I combine raw life experience with strategic insight. I am not afraid of silence, conflict, or depth. What I bring is not polished — it is real. And what is real always works.
Sometimes you have to fight with yourself first to truly be able to
to connect with the world.
